Welcome to
Transylvania
The Carpathian Mountain range spans a great arc across central and eastern Europe. A cradle beneath its jagged peaks and hidden among trackless miles of forests, it is one of the world's few surviving medieval landscapes.
A huge part of this great range straddles an area of modern-day Romania known as Transylvania. It is a place of myths and legends, a land where the distant howl of the wolf still chills the night air, where bears sharpen their claws on towering pines and lynx prowl ghost-like among the sullen grass.
Discover
Carpathia
Carpathia is truly vast. It constitutes the largest track of unfragmented forests left in central Europe and is home to the world's greatest concentration of brown bears. Their presence helps to preserve one of our most abundant ecosystems.
We invite you to travel on horseback to the heart of this breathtaking region to uncover the history, culture, and wildlife of what is Europe's last untamed wilderness.
