Bears
Our most popular trail rides sometimes follow the fresh bear track, and on the way, we will immerse deep into the very heart of the Eastern Carpathians.
During the week, you will ride around 130 km through endless rolling hills, vast mountain pastures, never-ending pine forests, and fast-running clear mountain creeks, experiencing breathtaking panoramas.
- Your own horse for the whole week
- Good wine, homemade pálinka (Hungarian brandy), delicious home-cooked meals
- Experienced and passionate guides speaking English, Dutch, German, Hungarian and Romanian
About the trails
Accommodation and Meals
Accommodation during the journey is quite varied. You will sleep in a hunter cabin, a yurt, hay in a barn, and even under the stars. You will be provided with full catering - homemade meals prepared by Panni, a talented cook who uses all ingredients from our organic farm and prepares a wide variety of traditional Transylvanian food. We can also provide a vegetarian option.

"One leg on one side of the horse, the other on the other side, keep it like this, and everything will be fine. And looking between the ears of the horse is also important."
J.W. Piet
Our trails are designed for intermediate riders and above. You must be able to walk, trot, and canter comfortably and securely in an open field in the wild and reasonably fit.
About the trails
Good to know
- We strongly recommend a riding cap.
- Good quality waterproof trekking boots (no fancy riding boots because sometimes you may be required to walk by the side of your horse when the terrain is rugged).
- High-quality rain gear suitable for riding.
- The rest of your clothing is your preference, but please be aware that the weather in the mountains can be very changeable, even in the summer.
- For the overnight camping, a sleeping bag is essential.
Transport
How to get there
We can assist you with organizing the transfers to and from the airport/train station at your request.
By Plane
If you come by plane - you should arrive at one of the three international airports nearby - all within 200 km (Cluj Napoca, Sibiu, Targu Mures).
By Train
If you come by train - many people from all over Western Europe use Interrail. The station for these trains is not too far from our ranch (50 km).
